Chinese New Year Bazaar @ Miri

Chinese New Year is around the corner. For me, kinda exciting as this is the first time to experience the Chinese New Year vibes here. At the same time, t'was invited to go to some photo shooting at the Chinatown in Miri with a friend Eric. The bazaar was nice, with all the decorations, a giant god of fortune. The food was nice but one particular cuisine that was everywhere is the "Kuching Open Market No.30 Siew Bee". So, well, enjoy.

A Creative Panorama
As soon as I parked my car, this old sign board just caught my attention.

All around the bazaars is decorated with Chinese lanterns like these. Fantastic.

One of the talented artist. He can put your face on paper in a jiffy.
The main tree just beside the roadside is fully decorated with Chinese lanterns.
Just practicing.
Used Photoshop to achieve the effect is available on DSLR.

This is one of the main deco that was under the big tree.

People just like to get all fun. Haha~

Photography Practice

After a long time, my Sony babe is yearning for me to touch her again. Thus, I brought her along to my usual Saturday meeting. I also thinks that I need to really really brush up my long dusty, rusted skill. So, here are the photos to share. Enjoy!

Chung Hua Brass Band with Mistuo Nonami

Had a great night of music at the Dewan Suarah with the performance from the Chung Hua Brass Band. They are doing it for the first time and hopefully more to come in the future years. Here are some highlight of the night. Pardon me for the quality of the photo as my babe is cranky that night. Enjoy~

A Night at Cafe Rosita

After a long awaited appointment, finally went to Cafe Rosita at Dynasty Hotel with some of my pals as some of them are leaving soon. Anyways, decides to pick up my long rusty photography instinct. The food is not as nice as before but well, what do we have to complain since we have the best thing, friendship and fellowship. My old lady is creating a lot of noise tonight, dunno why. But, hope you all enjoy.

Apple Truffle with ice-cream. Fat but nice.
Hwei Ching talking, caught in action.
The three stooges. Edited a bit to offset the noise.
Look at his belly. Lolx

A potrait of Hwei Ching.
Used Photoshop to filter it using Dark Stroke to make it look like a painted picture.
Tired with digestion in progress.
I personally like this one as the illumination just focus everything unto the main attraction.
Lobster Salad.

 Apple truffle anyone?
Willie posing for the cam.
Willie posing for the cam again but now at the coffee chicken corner. By the way, coffee chicken does taste like coffee and superb!
Some bread kebab thingy.
This is my 2nd favorite picture. It just have so much detail in it.
3rd favorite picture.

Once again, Willie with his posing. He's a good model.
Desserts?
The not so usual dessert that pop up at Cafe Rosita.

Sportman Attempt

Brought my Sony H50 to badminton session. Since the guyz are taking their sweet time to arrive, I went to took some photos. Wanted to try out sports' shoot for quite a while. Here is the result. Just one as it is one of the best. The others has the problem of too much noise. With the Sony H50, there are a lot of noise in artificial illuminated places like in the hall where it is lighted up via spot lights. On the otherhand, I think my Sony H50 is getting querky like a woman who is going through mid-life crisis...@.@. Anyways, enjoy~
